New Orleans Wedding at the Historic Pharmacy Museum

I love a good New Orleans Wedding. Especially at the iconic New Orleans Pharmacy Museum in the french quarter. The pharmacy museum is located in the heart of the French Quarter. The Museum’s 19th Century courtyard is the ideal setting for your ceremony. The tropical courtyard provides the perfect New Orleans party ambiance like no other. Inside the museum, you’ll find a large collection of apothecary jars containing their original ingredients, old wheelchairs, black leather physician’s bags, medical instruments, eyeglasses, optical prosthetic devices, and surgical tools on display. It definitely gives your guests a unique cocktail hour as they can browse the museum’s shelves and rooms.

Lisa and Giovanni came all the way from Chicago to have their wedding in New Orleans. I had talked with them a lot over the phone and email to get all of their details worked out. Having a wedding on the other side of the country can be hard without the help of good vendors to make sure everything gets done correctly. I met Lisa at her hotel on the day of to help her get ready. We hung out talked while she was getting dressed. We headed to do her first look in Jackson square with her husband to be. After the sweetest first look I’ve shot in awhile we headed to the Pharmacy Museum for their ceremony.

Their wedding party of 70 doubled once they hit the streets for their second line. Everyone in the french quarter that day joined in on the party as we paraded through the streets back to their reception. I’m so thankful that I am a New Orleans Wedding photographer. Weddings like these make my heart so happy.
